hey everyone, I'm not familiar with the forum and forum signatures but what is a kumquat and how can I protect myself from it eating my signature?

A kumquat is a type of fruit like an orange, and I don't think citrus fruits can eat signatures, do you? I'm pretty sure the people who made that signature were just joking around.

^What Harakou said. So many Scratchers fell in love with the idea of an evil kumquat roaming around and eating forum signatures, that they adopted the joke from my signature and now it's a popular running gag of sorts on the Scratch website.

There's really no such thing as an evil kumquat on the Scratch website and eating forum signatures. The reality is that I wasn't able to transfer my old forum signature during the transition to Scratch 2.0, so I came up with the fantastical idea to make light of the situation by making a one-liner signature saying that my signature was eaten by something. And I decided that this “something” should be a kumquat.

also, i thought something was fishy about that…
i wondered why you couldn't just rebuild it until i heard/figured out that it was a joke
