how to download sprites from the internet
I am trying to download sprites that people make and share on sites like http://pxlcobit.deviantart.com but when I download them and upload them to Scratch, they are so pixelated or low resolution that they look fuzzy. Any idea on what I'm doing wrong? Or anyone know here I can get some better sprites for using on scratch? I'm looking for Mario sprites like Thunder Mario and Rock Mario, if that matters. I know there are some already on scratch, but those aren't Mario and Luigi Dream Team versions and those are the ones I'm wanting.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Try a vector editor. Then save it as some vector file.

Find the image you want and save it to your folder. Then go onto your project and go to the little icon that looks like a file by your cat sprite and click on it. Find the image and download it onto your project. Hope that helps!

No, the reason it pixelates is that Scratch enlarges the image. Sure, the image quality gets worse when importing into Scratch, but even if you zoom in many times on the original image, it'll look very pixelated. This is because all .jpeg, .png, etc are called raster images. That means when you zoom in, they become pixelated and the quality distorts. But, if you take a .svg image, and try to enlarge it, the quality remains the same. Why? Because all .svg files are vector images. That means how many times you zoom in, the quality will remain the same, therefore theoretically you can zoom in infinitely. Hope this helps.http://pxlcobit.deviantart.com but when I download them and upload them to Scratch, they are so pixelated or low resolution that they look fuzzy. Any idea on what I'm doing wrong? Learning Node.js? Great! But, don't waste your time creating a web server. I already created a fully functional Node.js server on Github right here! It also has a very detailed documentation!
Or are you interested in making games in Unity? Want to see how I'm making my very own FPS game? Then see my FPS-Game repo right here!
