Hi! I guess im technicly not new to scratch, becuase I coded already when I was like, 6 untill I stopped for a few years, but now Im back! I got started with scratch when my dad introduced me to the programming language scratch. I remember that we bought a book about it. I decided to join again becuase I was introduced to it again, and it seems to be fun to post and intereact here. right now Ive only posted one animation test but I hope that I will be able to make a game with them.

I just joined scratch today. I found this place from an old book I got in like 2013 it was a scratch coding book or something but this place seems cool and I think I will stay here on scratch.

Hey. One of my kids made a board game on paper and we talked about making an online multiplayer version. He's used scratch for a couple of years and I've used it to demonstrate things for several years (just used offline) but looks like we are both “new scratchers” which means that cloud variables are limited. His game is actually pretty robust (grid and token placement looks like othello, easy rules, playtests well, seemingly, after a few playtests, not as trivial as tic-tac-toe, easy to fork opponents and hopefully not easy to stalemate). We're also trying to find out if there is a first-mover advantage or not. He has an independent study assignment in class and I suggested that he make the game online so they could play it, and he can gather lots of playtest data. (he's in grade 4 and since we're still in lockdown, they're in online school). Obv it would be easier if they could just play on paper in a real classroom, but here we are.

Anyway, I'd like to know how long it takes to become a full scratcher. I only have one shared project on here but he has several.

Also, feel free to use my asteroids clone which I made when I started getting into Nova Drift (great asteroids clone). Asteroids might have been the first game I've played in the arcade, or at least on the Atari 2600.
