WeDo USB two motors works great... how about two hubs?
Hi,
I am tickled by the two motors extension in scratch 2.0 (tho I can't seem to get motor blocks in the offline version?)
I do not seem to be able to have two motors AND working sensors; if I piggyback a sensor on the motor, the motor does not work.'
I'd be delighted to play with the javascript code, but I can't seem to find the actual .js file anywhere- mayb e I am being stupid.
Might we be able to extend this to work wiht multiple WeDo hubs?
thanks

It's impossible to piggy back sensors onto motors on the WeDo hub - the hub just doesn't support that setup electronically. So playing with the .js isn't going to help you with that one. So with 1 hub you are limited to just 2 of anything, and the official Scratch system is limited to just 1 hub.
There is no official WeDo support in the offline version yet.
But you could use http://www.picaxe.com/s2bot for offline work.

Thank you! Would think about how to expand the scratch code to more than 1 hub, but I am a noob at coding things. If I can get pointed in the right direction to start playing, I'd be happy to play.

I'm also interested in using multiple WeDo hubs. If you want to build a mobile robot you need two channels for driving and steering itself, then no way to connect any sensor, or a motor for additional activites. Multiple hubs could make our rprojects much more advanced!

Straight up! Having only one hub cripples this software for any robotic applications. The result: there is NO bridge in between WeDo and Mindstorms and that is a shame. What would CalTech do?

Two hubs at once would be great, but it is possible to make a robot that steers and avoids obstacles with just one motor and one sensor. Here's how I did it:
