allow for files to be attached to a forum comment
please allow for files to be attached to a forum comment. it would be of great use and it would solve my current situation (i am trying to post a proof of mine in one of my topics in the “things i am making and creating” and i could not get the file in it.)

That would be cool, but you'd want to only have specific files have the ability to be attached. What would the limits be, because you wouldn't want someone getting a virus because of the forums.like a .txt file, or .pdf, or .mp4, or .ogg, or .docx A file? Wdym by that?

Semi-Support, you could use Image Hosts instead of .pdf's, you could put your audio into projects and then link it instead of directly linking it with .mp4 and isn't Google Docs not allowed? If so then same thing for .docx (I think so, correct me if I'm wrong), and this could lead to inappropriate stuff, plus this would make it more harder to moderate for the Scratch Team as you could put it in files.

.docx is from microsoft word, not google docs. There is an offline version of Microsoft word, unlike google docs, so it's couldn't really lead to unmoderated chat. However, you cannot link the online Microsoft Office. easy, any attached file will be scanned for viruses before the forum comment they are in is posted. if a virus is detected, a message will appear that says “a virus has been detected in the folder. you cannot post this until the folder or virus is removed.”That would be cool, but you'd want to only have specific files have the ability to be attached. I think a .txt is pretty easy to do yourself, right?

I'm just gonna throw out my ideas for which files can be attached:
.png, .jpg, .gif, .bmp (i know image hosting exists but it wouldn't make much sense not to have these)
.pdn, .mdp, .xcf (specific to certain image editing programs)
.mp3, .wav, .ogg, .flac, .m4a (sound)
.doc, .docx, .odt (microsoft word/google doc)
.txt, .log (text files)
.zip (would have to be checked to make sure it contains only allowed file types)
.exe would nOT be allowed due to viruses
I'm probably missing some here but eh

Consider that scratch hasn’t enough space for allow more than 10 cloud variables per project (I don’t think for the size), why they should add something like this with files that can reach 1Gb? Another point: imagine how many mean files will be added to the the forums.

Mean images can be posted- but they'll be removed. Anything can be abused. for the cloud variables, those are for projects, not forums. so i fail to see your point. as for moderation, scratchers can just report a comment that contains a file whose contents violate the community guidelines Consider that scratch hasn’t enough space for allow more than 10 cloud variables per project (I don’t think for the size), why they should add something like this with files that can reach 1Gb? Imagine if everybody started to posting 1 GB files on the forums, just for the hell of it. The Scratch Team will have to run the servers hosting terabytes of data, and for what, slight convenience? While this is improbable, Scratch will still have gigabytes of data to store on their end.for the cloud variables, those are for projects, not forums. so i fail to see your point. as for moderation, scratchers can just report a comment that contains a file whose contents violate the community guidelines Consider that scratch hasn’t enough space for allow more than 10 cloud variables per project (I don’t think for the size), why they should add something like this with files that can reach 1Gb? i understand the concern, and i have an easy solution: put a limit on file size. if it bigger than the limit, then the forum comment won't post.Imagine if everybody started to posting 1 GB files on the forums, just for the hell of it. .zip (would have to be checked to make sure it contains only allowed file types)
There's a zip file that contains itself. How would that work?
