I need smoke effect for my pokemon game for smokescreen attack. Please tell should I do it

Make 3 costume, make it 50 to 75% transparent, and make it face the place you need, maybe a contrast of -20 to 20 degrees, and make the size 70 to 120%.

Or you just make a grey screen that covers the screen with 50% transparency when it does it.
