Further Details About New Scratcher

If you can't tell by the s at the end of our name, this is a collab account. Yes, we know there is a wiki topic about the New Scratcher status. Yes, we know their are two stickys on the forums about New Scratcher. However, in both of the posts they don't give exact details for fear of abuse, which we understand. But since we dislike using the account for anything but sharing projects (so everyone gets equal credit), I was wondering if anyone could tell me if we would still get the Scratcher rank if we didn't follow anyone, (it seems odd to create a side account and have it follow you) only loved and favorited our own projects, and didn't comment anywhere

Further Details About New Scratcher

Since we don't know the exact requirements, it's hard to say… but a few look obvious.

  • Not following anyone - You should be fine. Following people doesn't tell anything anything about you, other then people with projects that you like.
  • Loved and favorited only own projects - Same thing as above.
  • Doesn't comment anywhere - This is the tricky one. I know in Scratch 1.4 you needed a certain amount of posts in the forums to become a Scratcher… I'm not sure if it's also required in Scratch 2.0, but don't bet against it. You might also need comments on projects.

My thoughts,

Thanks a bunch ErnieParke! The last one was the least of our worries We will just post on forums and comment on people's projects.
PS: This account is still new so if someone would get this topic closed that would be cool

For future reference, you can always report your own topic and ask for it to be closed. ;)

Anyway, you're welcome! Good luck with your collab!

Happy,
