Emergency Meeting: So there's this project called “Flappy cat” it's a game similar to Flappy Bird but with Scratch Cat and I think it's too overrated and very simple and I think the user used the trending glitch but now thats the main thing, the user is just something like 6 days old so how would they know the trending glitch? Please help me.

Just because it is very simple and “overrated” doesn't automatically mean it was the trending glitch. For the trending glitch, a project needs to have a good amount of loves and favourites for it to get pushed to trending, and I doubt that a week old scratcher can get that much on their first projects. It may have been loved/faved by a scratcher with a big following causing others to check it out, making it more popular.

It might have been that some famous scratcher loved or faved it or both.

Yes, the project might be overrated but it has many loves and favorites (how did it get more loves than this?) so it probably got onto trending legitimately.

The thing is though that trending is a feedback loop; more loves and favorites means a higher spot on trending, a higher spot on trending means more loves and favorites, so it can be hard to know where a project's social actions came from.

I think the Trending Page is just broken that's all…

Please do not use the forums to gossip about specific projects or Scratchers.

If you suspect a project was reshared for nefarious purposes, use the Report button on the project and let us know. But you should be reasonably confident that it was reshared. A project being on Trending does not mean someone reshared it to get on Trending.
