Hello I'm new here and am a little bit confused. How does the new scratcher thing work I don't quite understand how to become a proper scratcher. I am going to hopefully post a project I've been working on this week. I understand that you don't become a proper scratcher at first but how and when do you become one?

I would like to welcome all new scratchers. I joined about a month or two ago, from a suggestion by my friend. I love this site, and it is amazing. you will enjoy it! When you first look at it, it looks like that code.org site, but don't worry! It has so much more! Here you can add pictures, use more commands, and even animate motion using pictures, and the “next costume” command. It is a site, for kids and adults, so I hope you enjoy! I really never fully introduced myself. I have been so busy lately that I never have gotten around to it. I am young, and I personally love fnaf, but my parents think it is to much of a “horror game” I mean, all you have to do is check lights, close doors (fnaf 1), Put on mask (fnaf 2), play audio (fnaf 3) and check doors the doors, including the closet! (fnaf 4) Anyways they think robots chasing down a hall to make me jump, scream, and then laugh (trust me I laugh more than rage) So I put it on scratch until they think im “old” enough to have the game. I respect Scott Cawthon, and plan to take the legit 1-4 games down from scratch, never to be seen again. THe full game is better than scratch editions, but they are all I have. I have to say they work well as placeholders! But please, I don't want them removed. They are all I have. Just… probably 1 more year to convince them… And also, for scratch, has scott cawthon bugged you about copyright? Id like to know if he really cares…

Help with what?of course just mess around with things and then upload pictures… it isn't easy to explain. Just click see inside on something you like and mess around with the buttons to get the hang of it! well, that's what I did. I never asked for help.

I thought a kumquat was a monkey. Than I searched it up on google… I felt silly.A Kumquat is a little tiny fruit kinda like a orange. What is a kumquat?Hello, and welcome to the Scratch website! I think I am one of the first scratchers to register in 2.0. I would have registered earlier but the website was down because of the transition. I should get round to introducing myself.
I have been using Scratch for quite a while, however this is my first time having an account and I'm planning to upload lots of stuff I made in Scratch 1.4.
I don't really have anything else to say so I would also like to introduce myself to all the other new scratchers.
Bye!

Welcome to the New Scratchers forum! You shouldn't tell them to ssk questions here. Those belong in Questions About Scratch.
The New Scratchers Forum is a place where new members introduce themselves and become familiar with some of the different areas of the Scratch Forums.
We invite you to make your own introductory post here if you want - maybe tell us what you hope to do with Scratch, or about some of your interests. Or, ask a question you might have about Scratch or the forums.
Please save posts about non-Scratch stuff for the Things I'm Making and Creating or the Things I'm Reading and Playing forums, if your topic fits into those categories. If you want to advertise your Scratch projects or studios, the place to do that is the Show and Tell forum.
Also, please don't use the forums for chatting - there are better sites for that outside of Scratch. Check out this nice guide to the Community Guidelines to see how they apply to the forums.
Take a look around and I hope you have a great time - Scratch on!
