i think i might just be the first person ever to use scratch in google earth
hello everyone,
so you guys know electron? basically, google did this long long ago with google earth pro.
i noticed that the start up tips window looked a bit like a webpage, and upon right clicking i saw that there was an option for inspecting, as like an electron app.
when the devtools finally loaded, i was greeted with a brushed metal web inspector like its the early 2000s.

woah. i can't find the chrome version because the user agent seems to be switched to display the google earth version. this is probably chrome though because i doubt the team would go in and make their own web browser or something.
so the next thing i did was set my document.location.href to https://google.com and started my journey.
my first desination was (forbidden chat site) but i forgot that this browser is so old it doesn't know what const is.

next i tried scratch, and suprisingly even the scratch-www pages worked. i'm actually typing this right now inside of google earth

anyways, that was my journey in discovering this pre-electron-electron-clone if anyone knows any more please let me know because i think this is pretty intresting.

MDN states that support for const was added with Chrome 21, so this means the browser is at the latest Chrome 20 from 2012.
it's pretty old

The browser is Chrome 20 – it supports color inputs but not ES6.

Wait, since Scratch desktop uses Electron, can we do this there as well?

Wait, since Scratch desktop uses Electron, can we do this there as well? The real Electron doesn't seem to allow this.

I thought Goole Earth was similar to Google maps. I'm very confused.

Hmm, I tried to get to the Scratch editor (more specifically, llk.github.io/scratch-gui/develop) in Microsoft News, which still uses old Edge (which I think Scratch supported?), but there's now this error:

The way I got here was fairly convoluted because apparently clicking a link in Bing results doesn't work anymore (it takes me back to the Bing home page). I initially went to Microsoft's privacy policy -> Microsoft website -> some course page linking to GitHub -> scratch-gui repo, but as it turns out, I can just use image search instead
Here's the Scratch website:

-snipreminds me of the “browser” on Nintendo switch where you have to go to some privacy policy that links back to Google's, and then you have to click a ton of links until you end up on google.com. fun

Or those Electron OAuth things in Microsoft Teams, where you can get to Github and Google.
