Messages Glitch
The messages glitch is a known bug from 2019 which flared up many issues relating to an issue with the messages page, with messages from the past being bumped up to the top.
It is actually dubbed the “messages bug” and not the “messages glitch”. If it happens, be sure to bump this topic.
I've also listed it in my directory.
History:
08/09/2020: I recently got many messages but it was just a conversation I had with 4096bits earlier that day who also experienced the bug.
01/10/2020: This time the bug crashed messages and sending us Scratcher invitations.
21/10/2020: wow twice in the same month gg st
10/11/2020: ahh god
13/11/2020: one happened three days ago are you kidding me
1/12/2020: looks like christmas is gonna be cancelled (i mean cancel scratch)
3/12/2020: November was No Scratch November, but this is No Discuss December
31/12/2020: 2020 is over, and here comes 2020 2.0!!!

Can reproduce and confirmed - I am getting repeated messages as well, and I made a topic about it.
But then found out it was a dupe of two other ones.

I'm experiencing the same problems.
This seems to be only happening on the updated parts of the website (the home page, the explore page, etc), at least for me. I'm not seeing this problem happen on any page on the site that is not updated.

I'm having a problem with my message section not updating/not telling me when i have new messages. I've got like twenty new messages, however it won't show it, and will instead show stuff from 12 hours ago instead of just now. I have to sign out and back in for it to work, and sometimes it STILL doesn't work

I'm having a problem with my message section not updating/not telling me when i have new messages. Yes I clicked my mail and it said 8 new messages but actually I had none! And then it only showed old messages and I had to reload twice to make it show the most recent ones

Edit: And now my mail is so weird, it skipped some old messages but still showed the newest one!

Hm? I checked my messages when I had 4 and it seemed fine. But hey, it's scratch, anything can happen xD But I also get your point. Every once in a while I experience this too. Maybe being logged in for too long is what's causing the bug, But that is very unlikely. Still, I can say that I'm having the same problem..
