Why does my project crash scratch?

Why does this crash scratch?

UUUGUHG WHAT THE NUGGETS
It was probably because you left a loop of clones:

repeat ((map size)- (5))
repeat (map size)
change [i X] by (1)
change [i Y] by (1)
end
create clone of [myself v] // take this part out and it would work just fine
end

it's in the render sprite

Nope the clone block is in repeat map size not repeat map size minus 5.

but when i take it out, it doesn't crash anymore

It works, it just crashes Scratch when it tries to run. I'm pretty sure that it belongs in this forum but you can report it to be moved so that we can see what the moderators think.

Here's a way to fix it

Use

think [Fix it] for (2) secs
ask [How to fix it] and wait
say [1. You can exit out of Scratch: 2. You can delete the stuff which is causing Scratch to crash: 3. You can restart your gadget. ] for (2) secs
