You can just watch https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/5 for a new topic. It'll also probably be next to the “What's happening” section of the front page as well.We should wait it out until the ST makes an announcement. So, is this resolved? We (kind of) got a response from the Scratch Team.

I don't think Scratch will be unblocked because the two have very different views. The Chinese government believes in sacrificing free speech for the protection of its citizens and nation, but here we expect free speech to be the norm (except, for example, when our moral standards deem something inappropriate for all ages). China probably won't unblock Scratch until anti-China projects are removed, but Scratch probably won't take them down because they believe in free speech
Github isn't censored because programmers in China rely on it, so the editor itself can still be built and run and modded from there. China has their own websites too; there's 阿儿法营 and the Codemao mentioned earlier.

Well at least we have a Chinese site hosting Scratch projects. I don't think Scratch will be unblocked because the two have very different views. Because it's big. And this is not a question, more of a full-on discussion. When this is over with, this topic will close. And to show your support to #FreeScratch, do the stuff in my siggy! how has this gotten 8 pages in a day!?
I mean, this is a big thing, but still.
maybe that's my fault for not being active
so is this resolved until the ST makes a decision?

I mean, #FreeScratch is not going to get it unbanned itself- Plus the CCP won't see it anyway since, well, Scratch is banned there. :PDo #FreeScratch if you want Scratch to be unbanned. oh god.
#UnbanScratch
I'm not saying don't be all “#FreeScratch”, I'm just saying it won't do much, if anything.
Plus this is a bit off-topic anyway.

Considering this is regarding a matter about what scratchers are posting (ie “contacterais matters”) they’ll most likely make a statement soon. We do need to give it time though. They mean they hope the Scratch Team makes an announcement on this. What does that exactly seem to refer too? I hope scratch team does!

I think they are still investigating why exactly the ccp banned their website. They will only give an announcement when they know everything about the current situation. The reason why I said the ccp did it is because the ccp are the ones that decide to block websites in their country. Why I feel like there’s so many people hate China/Chinese people.
