Dear Scratch,
There used to be this cool thing where you can make something ask a question, and turn the answer into a variable like, for instance:
ask:
set to (answer)
And I saw the Scratch TED talk on 2.0, and I was hoping that I could use the cloud variables to make a chat-system where you can type a message and it would set a cloud variable to the text, but it wouldn't work. Please somehow allow that tecnique to be used in Scratch 2.0
Also, It would be nice to have cloud-lists.

Perhaps you missed all the threads about chat boards on Scratch, so I'll sum them all up for you:
Chat boards are banned on the Scratch site. If you make one, they'll just flag it and remove it.
Also, cloud lists will be available some time after the 2.0 release. But, chat boards will still be banned at that time.
Hope this helps.

Let me elaborate on what BoltBait said: chat projects are banned from this website because there is a very large potential for bullying and there is no good way to moderate them.
Cloud lists and strings are coming at some point (we don't quite know when yet) because it requires more advanced software to manage them. However, they are coming, don't worry.
