I've been thinking about it and maybe it would be awesome that a day of the year, all our logos were changed to the default logo we had when we joined, just to have fun and to remember that everyone in Scratch started being one, before being what they have become.

Share your feelings below, depending on the number of people who like this idea I'll set a date to celebrate it (If the ST doesn't do so, which I doubt because it can be done by regular Scratchers anyway) or not.

That has the potential to be annoying though, because people like their icons and don't want them to be changed. It would be kind of like April Fools Day 2014 on Minecraft where everybody's skin was changed to a villager, which was kind of annoying. It might be better if you could turn it off.

Well, I was thinking that who wanted could change their own logo, or maybe change it temporary by Scratch.

I was never a new Scratcher, though. I joined in 2009, before the status existed.

Oh, I see. Well, but you were also new And there aren't much Scratchers in Scratch who have been here as long as you (Look, I have been scratching for almost 3 years and still there are many people who say I've been in Scratch for a long time).

And maybe have all the projects titles changed to “Untitled-X” in the order that they were shared…
(Of course, that would be display only, searching a project would still look at the actual title, not just Untitled)

Heh, that'd be interesting to see.

As you may have read, people will either show to change their logo (manually, of course), or not.

Well, we can just follow the original idea; the project renaming idea was suggested by AonymousGuy, not me. I think it would be cool that many Scratchers changed their logo to the default one for just a day, so everyone is like the same.

How about the day Scratch was publicly released? No one would have had a different icon from the default.

Were there even user accounts when it was publicly released?

It looks like when the program was first released in January 2007, there wasn't a public site to share projects. Looking through archives, it appears the site was publicly released in March, but it existed long before then here, with a bunch of test projects and Lorem Ipsums.

Edit: There's an older, more broken version here. It has the first project ever.

Double edit: Apparently the first project can still be downloaded here, but it was removed because it was inappropriate.

Triple edit: The second was removed for being inappropriate. Or maybe that's just a generic message for being removed.

Quadruple edit: Yup, I think it's just a generic message for projects that have been removed.

Quintuple edit: Working download for the second project.

Sextuple edit: There are a whole bunch of old projects if you look here.

Septuple edit: Even more.
