Mass Reporting

Alright guys , get ready for this one , and Scratch , if you're reading this , this is about a BIG problem.

What is mass reporting?
Mass reporting is having a project reported a LOT of times.
While this can be good if a project is breaking the Community Guidelines , It's not good if a project ISN'T breaking the guidelines.
While SOME projects can be have a subject that's on the report line , they give you a WARNING before starting the project , and these types of projects are usually themed about Horror.

Mass reporting can be horrible to projects , but it isn't Scratch's fault , it's the people who abuse the system.
A MESSAGE TO SCRATCH:perhaps improve your reporting engine and CHECK the projects yourselves when it gets reported to see if it's breaking theCommunity Guidelines.

Mass Reporting

They do check all of the projects that are reported it's just that if something gets reported a lot of times it is automatically taken down until someone can look at it. Also warnings don't help because they can make little kids more curios.

To add on to this, if there is a very bad project that a lot of people were offended by and reported, it needs to get taken down to prevent more people from seeing it. The Scratch Team always reviews those projects and if they're fine, they will get put back up.

Mass Reporting

As @SmellyMonkey43 said, the ST reviews every reported project. Also, the ban for a project taken down due to reporting is only a day long, which isn’t that bad, and people can always appeal to the Scratch team. While I understand that mass-reporting can be a bad thing, the concept of having a project taken down after a certain amount of reports is a good idea. I have seen many projects that broke the Community Guidelines, and, if they weren’t taken down as quickly as possible, could have potentially been way too violent for younger children.

Edit: kind of ninja’d

why do we get more letters to write our forum signatures than the ‘About Me’ section on our profiles?

Closed, sorry. This doesn't appear to be a question about Scratch. Feel free to post here again if you have a question about Scratch that you would like to be answered.

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.

I was a Scratch Team member from May 10th 2019 to October 29th 2021.
