Well, the pro is a con considering that getting a larger adult moderation staff would result in less money being spent elsewhere (like getting more Scratch servers or employing more developers).What if they did tho….. It used to but it was too hard to moderate.

We don't want the forums to be a catch-it-all place for random talk, it's why off-topic stuff is just limited to “Making and Creating” and “Reading and Playing”, which generally tend to be more positive and generate better forum discussion for our users. There are better place to talk about random stuff, just not here.
Sadly, my forum signature was eaten by an evil kumquat.
