COPYING AND PASTING!!!

ok i think that you should be able to copy and paste pictures into scratch sprites and backrounds, this will save me so much time. It is very annoying to have to save an image, import it, then delete it. This will save everyone so much time! Pls support. the image will be placed on the clipboard, then pasted into the editor!!

Oh and maybe this is a nice feature, i have to import all sprites into paint to get right resolution on offline editor, perhaps scratch could do this for me automatically! Overall i think this is a great possible update. This feature not implemented is already a huge problem in schools.
yes, thats true but hardly anyoneone knows that and also for the folder you'll have to make lots, one for each game. And the order gets totallly messed up, so using this block is impossible.

(costume #)
This is because the folder saves them in alphabetical order.

edit: Anyway say you're learning this at school, like MANY people are. You are only limited to like 300mb at most places, at leasted in the uk. If you do that there you are going to run out of space VERY QUICKLY, so you're back to saving, opening right folder, finding right image, importing, then opening right folder, finding it, deleting it and then deleting it for the trash. And so far in my school no one has used the folder thing (you can insert a folder then delete the folder), so i'm not sure how popular that is and how many people know it.
Even if people did know it, this block will get messed up, as a folder mostly saves in alphabetical order.

PLS READ
Some people such as blaze 349 have pointed out an issue that might prevent this from being implemented, perhaps it could only happen in the offline editor if it is not possible on the website..

So far nearly everyone has supported! yay!!!!! even paddle2see supports (well, kinda) http://scratch.mit.edu/users/Paddle2See/#comments-2741621

oh and pls check out my new block topic!!!

That would be awesome indeed, but I'm afraid it might be quite complicated (but should be possible).

Doesn't the backpack cover this? I agree at the moment, as I am dealing with a glitch in the Backpack, but is there really a need for two ways to do it?

the backpack is for scripts, and anyway, it is so much easier to press ctrl v.

Yes, you can put pictures in the backpack. Just drag costume/background into backpack, then transport into whatever project you please

Wait, you meant images from of the internet? I don't know. I could be possible to integrate like a clip art option, but taking pictures off the web for your project-you don't even know who to give credit too! There's already problems about that idea………

just give credit to the website and advertise for them in return for you having their sprites! anyway, do you have any idea how many uncopyrighted photos their are and how any people on scratch ignore copy right? anyway, i don't see how it'l be making them a problem.

anyway if youre making an animation of say a talking person, with three costumes per letter thats going to be pretty hard to save, import, then delete. this is such a downside to scratch, and why critise when this has so many good beneficial advantages?

I'm saying, if this clip art option was implemented, there wouldn't be a way to find the creator without having to have like a whole separate browser, and it'll become too complicated if the Scratch Editor ends up having stuff like tabs…….

Anyways, I think there is actually an easier way to do this in Scratch 1.4, but I'm not sure, I haven't worked with 1.4 in awhile

AwesomeGamer123, if honestly think that the Scratch Team can implement some type of clip art option, you may want to use the text below

(Copy)

Title of Topic: Available Clip Art Option?

I think that it would be easier to get images off the internet if there was a possible way to do it directly- a clip art tool, like in Microsoft PowerPoint. One way is to access the internet through the clip art tool for the search entered. Another way may be is that Scratch have a database stored with pictures that users may want to use. If a picture is looked for that isn't in the database, the database uses the search term and finds related pictures off of Google, Bing, etc. and bring the pictures to the user.

(Don't copy the rest below)
This is not my opinion. If you think you can make this work, you can copy and paste the place labeled to copy and put it in a new post, OK?
