This doesn't make sense. If you're a manager owner, you should be able to delete other people's comments. Just like you can on your profile.

Studios are not profile - they are little “clubs” in which users can do whatever they like. That would make owners of studios seem hypocritical - which they aren't.

Profiles are different, they are your official page.

What if it's a fanclub? And I'm okay if just the owner can delete other people's comments because THEY are responsible for their studio.

Makes sense.

Still, it would be problematic. In studios, many users discuss and talk about what they like, meanwhile on profiles the discussion is mostly between the profile owner and the commentor. An owner of the studio could just go around and delete many comments and ruin discussions.

I think you should be able to delete your own comments in studios, otherwise the only way to get them taken down is to be reported. And…Well… no one really wants to get reported.

Maybe a new rule could be:

Non-curators can not delete comments (I feel like if you're not part of a studio you're more open to ‘sabotaging it’)
Curators can delete their own comments (Since curators don't get to do much else, besides add/remove project on ‘not everyone can add’ studios and have the studio posted on their profile)
Managers can delete their own comments (Similar reasons to above, but managers can do a LOT more things)
Owners can delete their own and non-curator comments (They're the owner… They should be able to have more privilege in their own studio.)

I think this would be helpful. In the studios I manage, I get a lot of requests saying, "Ignore that… can I delete that comment?“ And I always have the same answer: ”No, unless you're okay with me reporting you." It's really frustrating, as sometimes I want to delete comments, too, but I don't think the user deserves to get reported- much of the time, it's just an honest mistake!

Maybe in the 3.0 studio update (which I'm sure we're all impatiently waiting for!) there can be an 'owner control dashboard' where a studio owner can choose what permissions they wanted other users to have. For example:

Who should be able to add projects?
Who should be able to remove projects other than their own?
Who is allowed to invite others?
Who is allowed to edit the description or thumbnail?
Who is able to delete comments?

Alright… that was kind of long, but that's just my opinion on this idea. So all in all, I support it.

I think it would be better if the owner could delete all comments (like on a profile), managers could delete their own comments (like it is now), and curators and non curators can't delete comments at all.

I'd support only the owner of the studio being able to delete comments. Not however anyone else as this could lead to people saying something mean and then once the other person saw it deleting it.

I think it would be ok for managers to still be able to delete their own problems, as this is a feature at the moment and doesn't seem to be causing problems. If you've promoted someone to manager, you should trust them anyway.

I've seen some of the replies, and I agree with this:
