Don't make emojis automatic in the forums

why do we get more letters to write our forum signatures than the ‘About Me’ section on our profiles?

Evidentally there are a few ways around this:
1: Put a tag between the characters of the emoji, e.g. :[i][/i]) which turns out like this —> :)
2: Make the emojis in bold: :)
3: Use the [code] and [/code] tags:

I wouldn't like to entirely remove this feature, but you could have an option weather or not to toggle the emojis in the post. There are times when I want to post :P instead of

I support. In my opinion (and probably yours too) :) looks worlds better than

. I use italic to make sure my :( ‘s don’t turn into

's. But even italic makes my :D look weird(ish)! But we can all just use ._. instead of :/ and ‘O’ or ‘0’ instad of :o.

Many websites I've linked to and paths I've redirected people to have gone wrong in the past and the emojis are generally not so beautiful. I really prefer the custom emojis people can use in comment, like _:D_ (an example for the issue! I had to make the smiley bold to show the exact code!)

You can put the tags in-between the characters of the emojis if you want to preserve normal formatting. E.g. –> :) which is written like this –> :[i][/i])

I really don't understand why it's a mix of :emoji: and just emoji. That's annoying and since this isn't really meant for chatting, emojis besides :cool: are not really useful. Every emoji should be like :emoji:.
