“Former Scratch Team Member” Ranking

Support, this would be less confusing to newer users who don't know that former Scratch Team members get the Scratcher status. They may not really know if they were on the Scratch Team or not. Also, if a topic is closed by a Scratch Team member who later quits, anyone reading the topic will know that they were once a moderator. It could also prevent someone pretending that they used to be on the Scratch Team.

That isn't what he is suggesting. He is suggesting a rank for former scratch team members. Did you read the OP?

Yes, and that person provided a mock-up for this suggestion. Did you read the post?

This would especially be helpful to clear confusion now that a Scratch Team member recently left the ST.

For various reasons, I don't think it would be too difficult for a moderator to tell whether or not someone actually used to be on the Scratch Team.

Those who are saying that such a place exists in https://scratch.mit.edu/credits/ are referring to the “Past Scratch Team Members” section, below everyone's profile pictures. That section only contains names and not account names, however. It's slightly different from this suggestion, I think.

I'm not sure how I would feel about having such a rank. I'm just a Scratcher who happened to be a Scratch Team member for a while. Why not give me the opportunity to live the wonderful life as a Scratcher again?
