Remove the updated paint editor for backdrops.
SEE THIS TOPIC SO THAT YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
With the new paint editor update, you can zoom out more, which I think is great. But since backdrops have no size blocks or motion blocks, you won't be able to see what you drew outside of the normal stage size in the project.
If you don't have the updated paint editor for backdrops, the backdrop editor could also be useful as a workaround if you are one of those people who don't like the new paint editor. You can draw a backdrop in the backdrop editor, backpack it, and put it in your sprite as a costume.

Probably a duplicate. Also, what if you made it optional, not removed?

Maybe I am not the right person to be looking at this… I have not looked at the new paint editor feature stuff

Sometimes it will be great, especially for who are interested in putting easter eggs in. XD

The idea is to make it easier to draw. Some people like the fact that they can now easily click-and-drag to select the entire canvas — which certainly applies to backdrops.

Not many know that. Plus, if you need to make a rectangle to cover entire backdrop (which you mostly likely need to) it's easier now.The idea is to make it easier to draw. No! I just created so many costumes without that update!!
At least they have it now, so that's good.

No support. If you have an animated background and it is vector (which is more common than bitmap) then you can animate it easily. I also think that this is much faster for one color and not animated backgrounds because you can just make one large rectangle.

No Support, that will make looking out of bounds harder, maybe scratch can let you toggle the update on or off.SEE THIS TOPIC SO THAT YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
