Scratch alternatives
I'm looking for a more advanced version of scratch, more focused towards games.

Snap by Berkeley is what's advanced but also inspired by and mostly just like Scratch. It's also what I recommend.
If you feel like Snap's not your type, then you can always read this Scratch Wiki article on Scratch alternatives

If you want to switch to text based coding, I'd recommend Tosh which is just Scratch but text. If you'd like something a bit more advanced there is Bitsbox which is like something to use before Javascript. Then of course, there is Snap! which is just more advanced Scratch if you still want block coding.
