Super Mario Galaxy for sure. For PS2 I would recommend Mercenaries (rated Teen and has violence).

Kingdom Hearts 2 is fun and amusing (If you only have the first one, get it )

If you're into horror games (and are older than 16) I'd seriously recommend Resident Evil: Revelations. Probably my favourite game for the 3DS, which is surprising because I had no intention of getting the system for that game specifically when it came out but ended up being the most played.

It's not exactly ‘Dead Space’ tier scary but it was pretty darn creepy at times

If you are looking for freeware: Cave Story.

If you are looking for paid/shareware games: Jazz Jackrabbit. It only runs on DOS, however.

Have you tried a Fire Emblem game? I've only played Awakening, but I hear good things about the others, though they're not for everyone.

Oh, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is stellar. The first Paper Mario is good too, and Super Paper Mario is worth it for the story.

I didn't realize until after, and it's sad because Awakening is fantastic.
