What is CollabOS?
CollabOS is a scratch OS. As you might know, people across scratch build Operating System concepts using scratch. You may have heard of the OSwars on scratch. Each team has many people contributing to their OS. CollabOS will (hopefully) be like that, but everyone is ONE team, all working together to make one OS. Various users can all submit ideas, and the core developer team (That includes me!) puts the code together. The CDT (core developer team) also helps build the core operating system.

Updates
CollabOS has a special update style. Bug fixes and small updates come when they are ready. Lucky submissions from the studio come every 2 months, allowing time for new submissions. Sometimes, studio updates are grouped with even bigger updates for huge releases! Anyways, here is the system:

BugFix Updates (X.X.1) : These updates contain simple bug fixes.
Studio Updates (X.1.X) : These updates contain submissions from the studio.
Release Updates (1.X.X) : Release updates are the biggest updates. They have both studio submissions and huge feature additions.

You can apply using the format below.

I will review your request to join and contact you later. You may get your requested role, but it is not guaranteed.

Roles and Jobs
There are a couple of roles that you can be. The roles are:
1. Normal Member : Normal Members submit suggestions, add to the studio, and help each other out.
2. Submission Reviewer : Submission Reviewers review studio submissions and pick out the best ones. (edit : i also do this)
3. Core Developer : Core Developers help implement studio submissions into collabOS. They also help build the CollabOS base.
4. Artist/designer : Artists create icons and such for the OS. Designers help Core Developers design the OS and it's flow. (thanks to @OurPrincess for the idea)
5. Bug Finder : Bug finders, well, find bugs! Bug finders look for bugs in the studio projects.
You can request a role when you sign up, but i still decide whether you get the role or not. Also, i am basically a supervisor

Rules
There are some rules you need to follow if you want to be part of collabOS. The rules are:
1. Do NOT output biased results if you are a Submission Reviewer.
2. Do NOT put unrelated content in the studio.
3. Do NOT put someone else's content into the studio without permission.
4. Do NOT bully, post inappropriate content, trash-talk or cuss!
5. Do NOT spam messages.
6. Do NOT run in the building.
If you break any rules, you will be removed from the CollabOS studio.

mlcreater, you are the first core dev. i added you to the studio so you can help. you can develop parts of the as standalone projects and add them to the studio. just add {CoreDev} to the title so i can tell it apart.

hmm… I was thinking that for login, you simply have a login button, but your customization's are saved to your username. i was also thinking of having a guest for people who cant use cloud variables. for the windows, i was thinking that:
a. yes, show application title
b. yes, a minimize button
c. no, windows are always there default size
d. most likely with red X but no Background
e. Window borders on all sides. probably a bit thick.
f. yes. the app developer can set a color.

I was thinking about having a custom format for windows and apps requiring one sprite with a special code snippet i add myself.

OurPrincess, you have been accepted as an artist/designer for CollabOS. I have invited you to the studio. You can make designs and art. just add them to the studio with {Designer} in the title.

That is a pretty good thickness for the border. also, someone has the artist/designer job now. they might be able to help with design. idk

Yes. that is a pretty reasonable thickness.

ProKube,you unfortunately cannot join just yet. the problem is that your form username is different that the username you posted with. confirm what username you will use so i can add you to the studio. other than that, your good to go!
