I'm not. There's no point in going backwards technologically. Also considering that the DS is getting its WIFI shut down a week from now, there's no point in having a DS.

Well I know that the animations on the 3ds games can only be made with the 3ds but they should also bring those games out without the animations that you can only get on the 3ds onto the normal ds.

The 3DS graphics are more sophisticated and have more pixels. You cant go backwards.

I'd like it if Xbox 360 games worked on the original Xbox. I can't say it ever crossed my mind that anyone would suggest it though due to the nature of console hardware. The 3DS does more than just 3D - it's an upgrade on all fronts. It's not like the DS is the “normal” DS, it's the old DS.

For example, the DS has two screens, each one is 256 pixels by 192. The 3DS has larger screens 400 × 240 and 320 x 240.
The DS has 4 MB of RAM. The 3DS has 128 MB.
Etcetera.

You can still go on Multiplayer, since that's only local infrared connection.

But wait! What if a DS and 3DS did local multiplayer? SInce the wifi's off for DS, does that mean that someone with a DS and a 3DS can't play local multiplayer together even if the game was a DS one? I know that a 3DS and a DS can do local multiplayer together because I've done it before with my friend.

the wifi is only going down for certain games, and the browser won't be affected. it's not going back technologically, it's giving better stuff to people who don't have a 3DS for whatever reason.

Local multiplayer still works between a DS and a 3DS. You can't play 3DS games on a DS, but if you both have a DS game then you can still play it. Download play still works too.
