Is this a case of the disappearing text bug?

You may have a fixed computer, some computers convert identifiable text into an easier-to-read font of the same size.
Because you are using pen, your computer might have trouble converting the text.

This is definitely a bug. If you drag the white input box, you can actually remove it from the custom block. This isn't the first time I've seen this bug; I actually made a topic for it last year: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/332751/

Did you start making this project in Scratch 2 and later have it convert to Scratch 3? The project where I saw the bug originally was made in Scratch 2 and had used some “hacks” which no longer work in Scratch 3. If your project was made and edited only with Scratch 3, then that shows it isn't because of an edited JSON.

If my memory is correct, I made the whole thing in Scratch 3 (It may not be though, I think it is.)
