The block will be a reporter that reports the current string as uppercase or lowercase, depending on the dropdown. Such a block would be placed in the Operators category. This is what the block might look like:

(change case of [] to [uppercase v]::operators)

The workaround… I don't even know.

The workaround would use a run without screen refresh custon block and a variable containing all the uppercase/lowercase letters. Maybe label it this instead?

([uppercase v] of […]::operators)
