A difference between "Save" and updating a shared project
human person, most don't have the app. ElsieBreeze gives a good point. Well yes, but actually no
(no support)
I mean, it's a good idea, but I'm surprised that no one has considered yet that:
- you can just unshare the project, update it, and reshare it. I mean, griffpatch does that!
- you can work on your project on Scratch Desktop and then upload your updated project. Unless like me, you run on Linux and you have to use solution 1 or wait.
All in all I don't think it's worth it

A difference between "Save" and updating a shared project
Ehh… I see where you're coming from but this would require two versions of each project to be stored, and the difference between updating a project save and updating a project would probably be alienating and confusing to someone the first time around. I say just use the offline editor; this is what it's for. (I prefer doing things the old-fashioned 1.x way anyway
)

Why? Please be constructive. Support!!!

Well yes that is true, wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to install an app just so we can save without updating the project? Anyways, it's still a pain to save to app, update the project on the app, then release it to the world. Also, desktop doesn't work well if you are trying to test projects that use cloud variables...then download the app lol..?human person, most don't have the app. ElsieBreeze gives a good point. Also, desktop doesn't work well if you are trying to test projects that use cloud variables.In that case, you can use the “save as a copy” button.

Seriously, when someone changes them while you make changes, it's gone.

I've destroyed 1 of my games because of this, and there was another which I managed to restore, it was all because of the autosave feature…

Then manually copy the cloud variables. All ten of them. So much work, am I right?What about cloud variables In that case, you can use the “save as a copy” button.
