Comments don't seem to be closed but are actually closed when I post?? (tried reloading, same happens)

It's really strange.

if a scratcher leaves, for some way the comments say that. it happened to me too with a different project. why not just the message that the comments are turned off instead of that?

According to this detail, I'm assuming that posting a comment on a deleted user's project configures that the message of the comment being posted is able to be sent to that user. Since the user is deleted, an error occurs, causing this bug to happen.

Is there a way to get around the comments have been turned off on this page?

I don't think we could share it here, even if it was possible.
Also, this happens when their account is deleted but their projects are kept.

I got the same problem for my other computer. It says sorry, commenting for this scratch project is turned off. Which probably means the option to comment on a scratch project is NOT yet enabled.

This happens when the project creator’s account is deleted, but the projects were kept.
