The screen on scratch is the canvas of a game and anybody should be able to change their canvas into whatever they please.
My request is to have the option to make a custom screen size on scratch and mainly the request would be for a 16:9 screen size for games so we are able to add more to the game and make it more immersive for a player while also letting the people devoloping the game the option to add more to their game.
I think this would be a massive improvement to Scratch as a whole and it give a future of being able to keep what is now a standard everywhere of a 16:9 canvas for games.
Also bring the space on scratch to 50mb so people can make super detailed games.

I don't know much about Scratch project screen ratios, but I think the current way is fine. Just add “/fullscreen” to the web address of projects or click on the fullscreen button to view the project in fullscreen. About bringing the space on Scratch to 50MB, there is no limit in 3.0. Only the JSON file can have 10MB (which might seem small but is actually a lot)

Hi, Nambaseking01 the thing is while full screen is nice I want to be able to utilize even more of the screen that's normally not used and with all of that space to work with, you pretty much can do much more, for example, make a more dramatic cut scene than just having a great cut scene but then the viewer can easily just see the outside of the box and sometimes will feel a bit more out of it compared to being able to have at least the option of having a more cinematic feel to your game.
A bigger screen a bigger challenge.
Scratch is made for kids but it's kinda like Roblox in how kids may play it but older people want to also program on it because it may be easier or more fun to share things to a younger generation, for them, to be inspired to make even more challenging things and giving them an option to have a bigger “canvas” giving them the challenge utilizing it in new ways nobody would ever see coming to Scratch.
A new way of watching.
Having a cinematic feel may be to some overkill on this platform but the applications for a bigger screen may even become a trend, it may inspire many, if given the choice, to switch right to 16:9 or 4:3, instead of only 4:3 screen, people may want a more influential screen allowing them to bring a bigger creative production of work making a 16:9 option a true game-changer for people with more of a cinematic idea of doing anything and I know the ways things are fine but they could be even better because growth is always an option especially on this platform.
Note: I might try to make a GIF sample soon to show how it could be used.

Now for space… I remember a time in which kids in my class always played random music loud via their Chromebooks but I know that possibly those kids even if I can't stop them may be interested in bringing a more creative approach with the music… I know it sounds dumb like who would want to do that but I wanted to see if the music would sound better from time to time if given the option to just have fun with the music and mix it… (my reasoning for that app is terrible but I still like the idea!) so I wanted to make an app demo on Scratch showcasing how you could mix and match music using stuff implemented in the app like being able to get small sound bytes of music and when you click a button it would then a clip of that music and you could mix it all for whatever you want (silly… I know)
But the thing is even with a simple demo I was making, the amount of space I was using was going up and up every 2 days by about 2 Mb or more and at some point, I reached the limit… I went on to my computer to continue coding and making ideas like adding stuff like small bites of sounds that would be something like preview of the song (kinda like Spotify's whole system of forcing somebody to go onto their web player to play a song instead of simply playing it from Discord) (had to throw some shade there.)
But when I did everything it all seemed normal for a bit and then I was implementing the song with the rest of the game and added lots of code to avoid weird bugs and stuff but just when I was halfway through the saving project thing was not working… and I thought “why's it not working?” so what I did is I searched and searched for a bit and found somebody had the same dilemma and so I then started searching some more and found that there is a space limit and so I thought well that's weird and I thought well I guess I have to save it to my Chromebook it every once in a while.
A couple of days past and I get tired of having to wait for my computer to process all the data and so I got tired of the project when I realized “If I can't save then that means I can't share it… so the whole point of my project felt to me fairly dead now” and so that's when I ended the project because Scratch didn't have enough space.
This month I came back to Scratch and wanted to make a new game with a good amount of cut scenes and action so people would be interested in seeing the game progress because even if some of the games on there were good they didn't have any different way of things and the quality of the games were the same leading me to wonder if space tightens these creators to add newer things.
While making my game I realized if I make such a game like that it will need around 25 Mb of space since I wanted it to have a ton of new things so I searched and this time it took a bit to dig for it but then I saw that somebody claimed that the limit used to be 50Mb and in my head that sounds beyond perfect for anybody because it allows people to make more complex and shiny new games (of course it would take a long while to make a game like that but it would be amazing!) so that's when I finally figured out (with my smol brain) how to post something to this forum requesting to have 50Mb back because it would truly be an absolute game changer as well as invite more people to work toward making some of the best 2D games on the internet.
So at the end of all this I think Scratch could do better with both keeping up to date with stuff like 16:9 options as a game making the view more immersed and in storage allowing the creator to do more with outside tools to bring together a game nobody has ever seen.

Ps. I hope Scratch adds this or at least allow a beta tester type thing for people to try out these ideas and give feedback on what they think also Scratch be an #SNEScartridge

Idk how notifications work but I hope you got my explanation on the bigger screen size and storage thing
also I went to check out your scratch project and is Proli really a 50Mb bypass and if so how?
Also if you could, reply to my response to your comment.
Thx

This could probably be really beneficial, hmm…
In scrolling platformers, you could see more of the levels and in most games, more information could be stored. I have always find it hard to play all scratch mobile games with my 1:2 phone because my thumbs are small and can't stretch out that much. In normal platformers, longer levels could be possible; same goes for any genre that have different levels.
Honestly, I thought of this same idea for a long time.
