messages take too long to load

i have gotten several 504's and lots of lag when loading messages both on my computer and my android phone. this doesn't happen when loading any other part of the scratch site, or with other websites. it seems like it's just the messages that cause it

It may because you have lots of message, how many did you have for it to lag?

i had 2 new messages

there are but it only loads 1 page at a time, its not like it has to get them all.

It loads fine for me; I'm not sure why it does it for you then.
