"go commit ____"

Am I allowed to say phrases like “go commit lego step” and stuff like that? I'm unsure if I can, because of the original phrase.

Moved to Questions about Scratch.

I believe that we are not okay with these sorts of phrases since they can be used for disrespectful comments.

I'd say no, or at least I highly recommend you don't. The original phrase is not unknown, and can easily be interpreted as being disrespectful, even in a innocent or playful context.

Imma go commit answer post for clout.

No, but probably only use that sorta joke for the example above, where it isn't aimed at disrespecting someone but just saying what you are doing or what someone else should do that doesn't disrespect them, say “go commit receive 1000 loves” would probably be fine.

Yeah the reason it's worded in that way and not anything that coder2045 described is because that meme originated from Roblox, and as inconsistent as Roblox's moderation is at times, there's no way that the examples listed in the post you quoted would've been allowed through Roblox's chat filter.
Also the phrase you mentioned has some comedic value to it, while coder2045's examples were more direct and rude.

I asked a question about the “go commit die” meme before and they said it was not allowed because of the nature of the meme. I believe using the snowclone in a positive way, such as “go commit feed the homeless”, would be okay.

Funnily enough, I knew the person who made the original “go commit die” meme in real life (atleast they claimed to make it, they seemed to have the correct details for the roblox account and anything, but looking back on it, they might have been lying)

EDIT: “original meme” as in the original image that was a screenshot of roblox of a guy saying that

I saw the phrases in a project. Didn't get the joke at ALL and I was at school and the last time I reported a project there, I got yelled at by my teacher.

1. Sees potentially offensive material

2. Reports it to a person that is supposed to look after these sort of things

3. ???

4. Gets yelled at

I don't get the teacher's train of thought. Maybe there is none

It is ok, as the others said. You can use “go commit” as a joke (of course by not using s word).

The teacher dosen't like people reporting things. She calls it “unfair tattling.”

Seriously, I reported a project with the 6-letter long s-word last year and it ended in the teacher yelling at me and the owner of the project (who was in my class) calling me a “weird reporthead.”

P.S. Actual list of events:
1. Sees inappropriate stuff
2. Tries to report it
3. Someone else sees me filling in the “report” field
4. He/She tells the teacher
5. I get yelled at

Maybe the teacher thought the school would get in trouble if a student was using inappropriate language, assuming it was a student who said it.
