Do you mean uploading? If, so you can upload sounds by clicking the upload button in the Sounds tab.
.gif files can be uploaded onto costumes as multiple costumes, but if they are out of order, you can use a frame number variable to keep track of which costume to swap to.

No, but you can download your projects when you're done making changes to back them up, or save copies of them.
However, if the project was originally made with 2.0 and 1.x, you might be able to access it through sb-downloader.

I was wondering, when I turn a variable into a slider, is there a way I can set it to a certain number of options? Right now, the slider goes up to 100, when I only want it to go up to 9.

Yes, you can! Hold down on the variable and click change slider range. Then you just put 9 into the maximum value and click OK and you're done!
