What This Is For

Team Java is a team of scratcher who are working on making the game Hero of the Light* this discussion forum is for the team to discuss plans and share ideas for the game.

What is Hero of the Light?

General Story by allbookmonkey:

Ivan lives with his dad, his mum isn't there (details not worked out). One day, he is requested to go to the King's Court. Sometime around that time (haven't decided exactly), their home is attacked by monsters, and Ivan's father (John, I think?) dies saving him. The mage tells the king that Ivan is the one that will steal the current king's throne, and the King starts after him. The player gains control of Ivan as the guards start in pursuit. I'm not really sure in what format (top-down, platformer, etc.) he will escape, though. And then he goes on a quest to save the kingdom from the tyrannical king's clutches.

Code Wise On How Everything Will Work

This is an RPG game, so we might make it a scrolling world (for the sake of convenience) but this can be changed. Further code is yet to be decided.

Can I do Inventory/Screen Switching/Item Crafting? For that would I be designing the inventory too or would the designers do that?

I've already signed up before for human character design (main characters, king, etc.). I can do title screen as well if you like.

I wasn't the one who made the other forum, we're good. This is the official forum, as Cloud is a leader as well.
