Check to make sure you don't have “Disable Checkpoints” enabled in the pause settings menu. GD seems to really like turning that on randomly for some reason.

what's funny about this intro i've made is that i was at one point planning to use the entire simpsons intro, because then i could have snuck in more gags (i was actually considering putting “check steam” on a billboard). i unfortunately never ended up doing this. maybe one day…
