The Scratch Team has done many amazing things for us over the years. The Scratch Team moderates the website, making sure it's safe for everyone, they keep the forums in check, they develop the website, and overall keep the website running smoothly. Without them, this website would have gone down years ago. I am so glad we get to have amazing people to help keep Scratch amazing for everyone. That's why, I am happy to introduce a new annual event that hopefully, a lot of fellow Scratchers will participate in:
Scratch Team Appreciation Day - November 9th, 2019.

On this date, I hope many Scratchers will participate in giving the appreciation the Scratch Team deserves. What you can do on this date is simply go on one of the Scratch Team's member's profile and comment on why you appreciate them, and thank them for keeping Scratch a safe place for everyone.

I hope I can convince you to join me at this annual event. If you do support this event, please share something a Scratch Team member did for you, or share this topic with other people so that this may spread throughout Scratch.

What you can do on this date is simply go on one of the Scratch Team's member's profile and comment on why you appreciate them, and thank them for keeping Scratch a safe place for everyone.

But in all seriousness, this is a splendid idea. I feel as if the ST gets a lot of hate for blocks and bans, even though they're doing what needs to be done. Hopefully more Scratchers see this and choose to participate.

this is great, most people after getting ONE ALERT go “omg i hate ST im gonna boycott them now”
I mean please, i've gotten 4 alerts, none of them were because I said something wrong. Yeah sure, it's unfair but do you have to blame them? ST works their butt off everyday, making sure that this is a safe platform. Second thing, the amount of “#wewantdarkmode” on their profiles, like dude. please stop. Spamming this isn't going to solve anything. I've talked with plenty members of the ST and they were all helpful

For anyone who wants to help spread this around, there are many things you could do:

Advertise the studio or topic in your signature.
Make projects about this.
Follow the studio.
Tell other Scratchers about it (do be careful with this though, don't just spam links on projects or profiles since this would be spam, instead, ask Scratchers you have talked with if they would be interested in supporting the Scratch Team).

Follow these steps and this should get this more popular. This is absolutely not required, if you decide you don't want to do this, that's completely okay, I won't think anything differently of you then I did before.
