Korgon is the “final” boss of the Chaos mod and also the hardest. He is a post-Moon Lord boss fought in the time fracture biome, which is situated in space, where there is a box made of asteroid fragments. He is a bullet hell boss who spontaneously charges at you and fires swarms of projectiles. He can be fought anytime as long as there is a time fracture biome and you are in it. In order to get this biome you have to kill Moon Lord. It is recommended that the player possesses post-Esarus gear before facing of against this fiery menace.
___________________________________________________________________
Spawn:
Korgon is spawned using the “Extermination Beacon” and can only be summoned if the following criteria are met:
• You are in the time fracture biome.
• At least 20 total bosses have been killed.
• You have over 250 defense
___________________________________________________________________
Behaviour:
Korgon will rapidly teleport near the player and charge at them with inexplicable speed, similar to Duke Fishron in Expert mode. Exiting the biome will cause him to do it at a speed that causes dodging to be impossible. He will also do the following:
• Meteors endlessly drop until he is killed.
• Korgon will make flaming trails, which give you the debuff “severe burns”, occasionally when he dashes.
• Korgon spits a massive molten ball at the player that erupts into molten blasts after hitting something or being current for 3 seconds.
• Dragons will rapidly chase you.
• Under 60% health he will begin performing teleports after every two charges then performing a slow death charge and meteors explode into molten shrapnel and molten dust that fly upwards. The shrapnel obeys gravity while molten dust travels upwards before disappearing.
• Under 10% health he starts doing death charges forever, which will take a half of your health, but at a noticeable decrease in speed.
• Also under 10% health, the dragons will start making occasional flaming trails, which give you the debuff “severe burns”, and deal more damage at an increased speed.
• Under 3% health, he will be invulnerable, unable to move and his dragons will fly off (unless defeated). After a few seconds, he will become vulnerable.
• When killed, he vanishes and drops his loot along with an Empty Soul, which is used to create a Disastrous Soul allowing you to have your final battle with Korgon.
Expert mode:
• He will have an extra two dragons.
• His dragons will make fire trails more frequently towards the end.
• Molten bullets will fly across the screen occasionally at a slow speed.
Catastrophe mode:
• He will occasionally stop and scream. While doing this, he deals no damage to the player but will suck the player in. If the player touches Korgon then they will be given the "stoned“ debuff and severe burns.
___________________________________________________________________
Tips:
• Reaper's Curse is a great accessory as the dragons can be almost instantly killed with the Dark Matter Hammer or higher tier weapons combined with this accessory.
• Holy Boots is also a great accessory as it has a chance of dodging and will make you faster than Korgon in the either the air or ground (not enraged).
• Shield of Resistance is another recommended accessory as it makes you immune to every debuff (excluding other modded debuffs) and will greatly increase your stats, speed and distance from Korgon.
• Korgon has high defense, causing him to take barely any damage so if your weapon does not have a lot of damage, it's suggested that you have a quick firing weapon.
• For melee, Devil's Misfortune is the perfect weapon as it will steal small amounts and leaving a damaging aura where it hit something.
• For mages, the Holy Wrath is a great weapon as it homes in.
• Seeing as Korgon is immune to almost every debuff, it's best for rangers to use the highest damaging arrows, rockets and bullets instead a relying on debuffs like ”Severe Burns“
• ”True Melee“ weapons are very unlikely to be useful due to the fact that their effects will require that you take massive amounts of damage
___________________________________________________________________
Aftermath:
• Draconite ore will generate in the cavern layer of the world.
• A status message saying ”The solar system's balance has been altered…“ indicates that a new biome has generated (the Death biome).
• A status message saying ”The celestial creatures have been imbued with dark, ominous energy…“ indicates that the Lunar event has been buffed and will drop new items and materials.
___________________________________________________________________
Trivia:
Korgon was intended to have traps with him in Catastrophe mode, shooting spears in an ”X" but it
seemed to hard, therefore the idea was scrapped.

I upgraded the stats of Korgon. By the time you fight Korgon, you'd probably have something like 20,000 health and 300 defense.

Not that hard since the stuff you can make by then is quite OP.

The amount of life you have won't make more hearts but instead stack the life on the current hearts as well as changing it's colours.

The beacon lies before you
You call his name, and stand back
The time fracture descends into silence
You here that familiar tune, and ready your weapons
You greatly acknowledge what you're up against
Standing bravely, you call his name again
Roaring echoes in the distance…
“Korgon has awoken!”
You call his name, and stand back
The time fracture descends into silence
You here that familiar tune, and ready your weapons
You greatly acknowledge what you're up against
Standing bravely, you call his name again
Roaring echoes in the distance…
