We aren't ‘attacking’ them. We understand that servers need money but I doubt that most scratchers (who are mostly under 16) have the money to waste on hosting images on a coding website.

But who would waste money on it?

How about imageshack? That's a whitelisted image host that we allow, and you can sign up for a free account there.
I can't access it.

If you're seeing this signature, that means I've come out of my social anxiety hole.

Also, I edit the Scratch Wiki. Check it out sometime it's cool I guess.

Do not always think a website is “insecure” because it shows that it is insecure. The website of DjangoBB is also insecure but the Scratch forums wouldn't exist without it.

By the way, that web app seems different, which OS or app are you using? Oh, I just noticed that it is Opera!

EDIT: Striked the OS question and added the Opera notice sentence.
EDIT 1: Made sentence less childish.

Okay.
I'm always just weary about those kinds of things…
And yeah, I used Opera on my Chromebook through the Linux Beta thingy. Now I use Firefox since it works smoother.

That moment when you realise you don't know the definition of “weary” and need to search it up

If you look through old topics for help, a lot of images in posts just have the sad face with the TinyPic logo saying “This image is no longer available.” We don't want that to happen to CubeUpload, or we'll be seeing a lot of images like this:

That's not the real thing, it's just a concept that I designed.

My signature was completely outdated and a new one is under construction.

One believes that EveryOne should be allowed to use all image hosts - for images are the least of the woes for moderators and the AuthorityOnes of this site. Strict policing and control to maintain a site suitable for EveryOne.

One supports this idea.
There was a time where there was an exploit that used a certain site under the .edu TLD which was unblocked as an imagehost, which allowed the poster to execute GET/POST requests, which could be used for various nefarious purposes.

Here is the list of image hosts as of december 2015:
  • tinypic.com
  • photobucket.com
  • cubeupload.com
  • imageshack.com
  • imageshack.us
  • modshare.tk
  • scratchr.org
  • wikipedia.org
  • wikimedia.org
  • modshare.futuresight.org
  • scratch.mit.edu
  • scratch-dach.info

is there a problem with photobucket?

Update: I have since found out photobucket costs money. So far, cubeupload and imageshack are the only allowed hosts that don't either cost money or have restricted uploads. CubeUpload is also possibly going to shut down. Sooo…imageshack?

Seems like it's another one where you have to pay to use it without restrictions.

Well scratchr.org isn't an image hosting website either, yet here we are

Cubeupload got enough money in donations to stay up for a few months, so that's good news.

Cubeupload shut down again, I have a feeling that we really need Xomf right now.
(I forgot if I ever put a support on this so.. support)
EDIT: nvm, cubeupload went back up, I guess the server's being weird.

Support! It irritates me so much because they charge for subscriptions, so I have to make a ton of accounts and alternate them for free trials. Imgur is a friend!
