Allowing other image hosting sites incase CubeUpload shuts down

In a tweet by the CubeUpload people, it stated that they are running low on funds and are considering shutting the site down. As tinypic has shut down as well, we need another free image hosting site to be on the whitelist.

Originally, we had a list of a few but after some consideration, we decided to narrow it down to one site. https://imgbb.com

In 2019 our main site was xomf.com but there was some difficulty using/whitelisting this so someone suggested ImgBB.

Please work on this Scratch team, we never know what could happen?

Currently, xomf.com may become an image host, but I support, because all the other image hosts are too small or a little shady.

How about imageshack? That's a whitelisted image host that we allow, and you can sign up for a free account there.

Pretty sure imageshack has an image expiry time set for all images uploaded on it. This is most noticeable on older topics where I've seen some images just replaced with a cat and text saying to visit imageshack for more images.

Why, what happened?
They said they might shut the site down.

Heck I feel like Scratch could have it’s own built in image host.

I don’t fully understand why only some image hosts are allowed

But I would love for us to have more image hoets

It kind of does actually.

Step 1:
Go here and follow the instructions.

Step 2:
Once you have the bookmarklet bookmarked, go to your My Stuff.
(NOTE: Once you have it bookmarked, you will not have to repeat Step 1 again)

Step 3:
Create a new project.

Step 4:
Click the the bookmark while in your project, and choose the image you want to upload.

Step 5:
Go back to your My Stuff, and right-click your project's image.

Step 6:
Click “Open Image in New Tab”, or on some browsers, “Copy Image Address”.

Step 7:
Ta-Da! All done! You now can use this image on the Forums, or anywhere on Scratch for that matter!

I'll let W_L know that's probably another alert and project removed due to the extension ban (which also affects bookmarklets)

It's a 30-day-free trial. I need a forever-free one.

^ support, that would be awesome.

Sure, but that takes quite some time just to upload one image… I was thinking perhaps Scratch could have a page or feature where you could just upload images there and then use them on the forums? I don't think Scratch would shut down any time soon. I don't know if this would cost money though.

It takes like, 10 seconds.
But I do support a way to more “officially” upload projects to Scratch.

[Off-Topic]It was recently taken down due to numerous reports, but the ST put it back up. Essentially meaning, they're fine with it. :P[/Off-Topic]

One believes that EveryOne should be allowed to use all image hosts - for images are the least of the woes for moderators and the AuthorityOnes of this site. Strict policing and control to maintain a site suitable for EveryOne.

One supports this idea.
