Widgets in fourm signatures

Right now, if you want your signature to update you have to go in and change it. Manually. This is where widgets come in! They are bits of your signature that automatically update; without you! Here are some examples:

Post Count Widget:
A lot of people's signatures consist of something like:

0 Posts 1000 Posts

This widget could make that automated! So you don't have to update your siggy every 10 minutes.

Latest Project Widget:
This could show your latest project in the style of a “featured” project on your profile.

Last Online Widget:
A simple text widget showing your last online status.

If you have more ideas comment below and I'll add them in!

I'll be updating this post with graphics and designs on how it would look.

; Santa Claus and Mrs Claus wanted to get a devorce. However, being in the north pole, there was no one there to help them do that. So they used a semi colon instead; they are great for seperating two independent clauses.

So how would these be added in to your signature? Since it would have to be based on BBCode for it to be inline with the rest of the text formatting tools on the forums, what would the code look like to generate these things? If they are based on BBCode, would you be able to use them outside of your signature and on forum posts themselves?

A Post Count widget, while I personally would like that for flex points, I doubt that would be something that the ST since they don't seem to be big fans of posting a more exact post count (our post counters on posts are estimated for a reason)

The latest project widget seems like the one that would be the most likely to be made if this suggestion ever went through, however you don't usually create projects every day or two, which requires constantly updating your signature (at least I don't)

An online indicator is rejected:

7.3 Show when users are online
This suggestion refers to some sort of indicator that lets you know if a particular user is currently online. The Scratch Team has discussed it and has decided that it is not something that can benefit Scratch as an educational platform. Between making projects, sharing projects, and viewing projects, an online indicator is not much help in these areas.
