movement on my 2D minecraft
well, lately I've made a 2D minecraft and the Steve kept on going through blocks and i bodjed it but i want you only to be able to jump onto a block not precariousley float through a block and the same with the mob. go to http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/20736654/

For starters why do you have the head and body responding to the key pressed? They are following the legs so that is the only sprite that needs to respond to key presses. As for testing for objects then all you need do is move and if that movement means you touch an object then move back by the same amount. There're lots of different ways of doing this, just check out the platform style games. The less touching blocks you can use the quicker your game will be though.

the only reason I did that is because it stops some strange lag from happening but ill try
