well, that would be the easiest as there are thousands of decoding and encoding scripts

We're not intending to create such things. We're not some sort of shop that basically gives you a project to share. More, minor assets. Plus, encoding/decoding scripts are everywhere and aren't actually that hard to create them yourself.-made* engine, none* of our staff are going to be able to code that ASAP.*This is far too advanced for us. It is impossible to create an automatic post counter but you can make it manually. What programming language is your order? (e.g. Scratch or HTML): idk

Sorry, I saw this:
In a few people's signatures and thought it was some code. Really, it's an image. From Wikimedia, in fact. BUT it does say in the URL
scratch-post-count-badge.glitch.mei thought it was strange

i know, but its better to politely refuse the order than take on something you know you can't do.-made* engine, none* of our staff are going to be able to code that ASAP.*This is far too advanced for us. Just use a pre

CLOSING SUCS - BUT WITH GOOD NEWS
Please read whole post if you're a worker or customer. At the end of the post, there's a surprise - but don't read it first and spoil everything for yourself ;)
Please read whole post if you're a worker or customer. At the end of the post, there's a surprise - but don't read it first and spoil everything for yourself ;)
Hello, all workers and customers.
It's me, Nambaseking01. I left this shop nearly two months ago saying that I had lost interest in shops, but I knew that at some point I would return and therefore I would be passing ownership to ContourLines, our dear vice president. Then, I thought everything would be fine - I thought he could maintain his own little front page, make good decisions just like me and run SUCS wisely. And he did it exactly like I wished! Everything went as per planned, and for the first three weeks, I was really happy with how SUCS was going.
But after that, there was an overload of worker applications and impossible orders. The shop started to go out of hand - Geo (ContourLines) was rushing to make new policies and flame wars came to exist in the shop. Regardless, I didn't do anything because of my selfishness. I was, apparently, too bored to run the shop again. A quality that a true leader should not have. But I did. Then, after a few weeks before, I ditched this shop completely and didn't even bother to make minor changes to the front page. All the times when Geo rushed to my profile for help or requesting me to return, I selfishly declined with a made-up counter argument.
Until today. I'm sure you are all aware of the frequent posts that SUCS is dying. That it's getting too much impossible orders. The fact that people are resigning because SUCS is becoming a dead and not-so-accepting shop. Until today. About four hours ago, Geo commented on my profile saying that I really ought to return to SUCS. I decided that I would not let my selfishness fail me again - and I returned to SUCS. Then I realized that today is the one-year anniversary of our shop!
The perfect time to close it. That's right - I'm closing the Scratch Ultimate Coding Shop. I'll explain why this should happen in the following list, and please stick with me till the end:
1) I was never consistent. I think all of the OG workers of SUCS, like Geo or Cubby (cubbywindowsdpc) can agree that I've never been truly consistent here. I was constantly deserting shops because they “weren't my thing”, and then coming back with a fresh start, and then going away after a month by abruptly transferring ownership to Geo. This only proves that I don't have the ability to be here consistently, stay with the shop until the end - I was slowly losing interest in this particular shop.
The biggest mistake I made when I started was rushing the process. I didn't have a clear goal of what type of shop I wanted, I just made one because all of the others did in the Requests forum. But after running my own shop for one long year, I've understood the consequences of that. I never wanted to make a coding-only shop - my dream was to make a shop where anything could be requested, including BBCode, art, writing, and a lot more.
2) The BBCode has always been messy. The BBCode has always been different in all of my posts and generally really messy. I could consider myself a professional in using BBCode these days, since I hang out in the discussion forums a lot. But in this particular shop, the BBCode is non-linear and strange. It's all a big mess and the front page isn't even that clean. And by changing that, I would ruin the “messy” nature of SUCS, which was what made it special. Making a shop with nice and peaceful BBCode, with thumbnails involving nature would be so much better.
3) The name of the shop The name of the shop honestly isn't right. The “Scratch Ultimate Coding Shop”. It sounds so much like a cliche, something that can obviously be used. This is obviously another consequence of number one - the fact that I rushed the making of this shop. If anything, I should've dedicated more time to the making of the title. Instead, I just chose the most obvious one in the book. tHe sCraTch uLmtiMaTe cOdiNg sHoP lOlOllooloOLOOllLooLLo
Of course, I made much more mistakes in the process of making this shop, like never making templates for activity checks and such, never finishing the website for SUCS, never updating certain important BBCode and worst of all, being lazy to a point where I didn't want to post here. But of course, people learn by making mistakes, and it's necessary to make a test of your dream first. Benjamin Franklin, the person who made electricity, attempted 1000 times to make it - and electricity is not a thing you just casually make for a joke in your house - 1000 times - before achieving his goal.
Therefore, I don't think I sound insensitive at all when I say that this one year has merely been a test, a year from which I can learn from my mistakes - a year in which I decide what's good about this shop and what isn't. And after this year, I have a really important announcement too. I'm not letting all of my learnings go to waste - I'm not abandoning the Requests forum. I'm only abandoning SUCS. I'm sure all of you have had this suspicion for a while…
I'm opening a new shop TOMORROW! I've got everything planned for it, and you can expect to find it on the Requests forum soon enough! Of course, I won't be using the same BBCode, all of the workers here will have to apply there if they want to join, and all of our customers might want to order there! The name will be…
Longarms Creations - Our workers can finish your orders with the longest and fastest arms in the world!
Now, I think this is quite a big and happy announcement for our workers, but I think we all have to agree… SUCS getting closed is quite sad, isn't it? I'm pretty sure, for the last year, this shop has been a major part of many Scratcher's lives, and it just going away is sad. Because of this reason, I'll be hosting a studio for worshiping and discussing SUCS. We will always remember this awesome shop in our hearts, no matter how reckless I've been. It's hard to throw away a topic with nearly 3000 posts and 150 pages.
I also think we must give out some really important shoutouts to users who've stuck with us till the end. I want to mention the users I've admired most in the history of this shop, and we must always remember:
- ContourLines - thank you for running this shop for nearly two months just because of me being selfish and not doing anything on purpose. In Longarms Creations, I will not fail you like this time.
- MapleTails - you've stuck with us till the end, no matter what - you moved accounts, did this, did that, but never abandoned this shop. I respect that with all my heart.
- NLC_BC1_08 - I thought I wouldn't give shoutouts to people who joined as late as you, but even joining late, you've been such a dedicated member of SUCS, responding to all the posts, and always looking up to me. I hope to see the same you in Longarms Creations.
- smileycreations15 - you left. You left this shop 6 months ago, and yet I respect you for everything you did in the early days of SUCS. You were the most amazing president (while that position was still seperate from being a Founder).
- Wainggan - how many orders did you complete? Unbelievable. I will always respect you and you were an awesome member of SUCS. Unfortunately, towards the later days of SUCS, you couldn't be with us due to life issues and you deserved that break. You were a member that focused most on orders and not new policies and debates. Meanwhile I respect the others for doing other jobs, you were the best worker when it came to orders.
- xXRedTheCoderXx - those articles you wrote were huge! I didn't expect you to make such massive contributions to SUCS when you joined! Probably the most amazing tutorials I've seen on Scratch!
- cubbywindowsdpc - obviously. Every shop respects you my friend - you've been dedicated to working everywhere in the Requests forum and I heavily respect that. I was honestly sad when you lost the vice president elections. You would've been an amazing vice president (of course, Geo was extremely good too - no offense to him).
Still can't believe this shop is closing. Can't believe this is my last post here. I'm really sad, no matter how excited I am for Longarms Creations. I really hope I won't fail my next shop as well. Wish me luck.
