New Super Mario Bros. was the first game I played, and I got it over 10 years ago, when I was two. I remember reading the instructions (to the best of my ability), but I also remember when I first played, I spent over 100 lives running into the very first Goomba.

it is unrelated a bit but while playing gta san andreas (when i was 7), i thought the “n” point has very special awards so i always try to go there

until i learn “n” is shortening of “north” in fourth grade

The problem: it can mutate easily (new symptoms are automatically gained, but you don't spend any DNA), so it is hard to make.

Devolve the mutations, and you get DNA points back to use on infectivity or whatever you need them for.
(But this topic isn't about how to win in games, it's about the worst ways possible to lose in them.)

Actually, there was this one time: I went into a hole because I had to go do something else. I came back a few minutes later. Turns out a fox kicked me out of the hole and a hippo ate me.
