When Event Block, like the one on SNAP!

For those of you who don't know, SNAP is an older version of Scratch. On SNAP! there is a when event block that will let you plug in things like “touching sprite 1” and “Variable = 1”. I have looked, and there is no such block on Scratch. This makes my coding virtually impossible. Can you please add a block that will let me plug in operators, sensors, and so on. I think it would make my, and other people's lives much easier. Than you!

Just use the thing called a conditional:

when green flag clicked
forever
if <> then
...
end
end

Just plug in what you want in the diamond.

For example:

when green flag clicked
forever
if <touching [sprite 1 v] ?> then
...
end
end

when green flag clicked
forever
if <(Variable) = [1]> then
...
end
end

Hi, I'm ResExsention, a New Scratcher who refuses to press that button! I hope we get to know each other and become friends!

If you see "[DATA EXPUNGED]", you'll know it was deleted by me. It's a lot easier.

you can use an if else block.
