Sprites Appearing as Question Marks

When opening up a scratch project on a different device to what I normally use scratch on, most of the sprites had appeared as these grey boxes labelled with question marks. In the costume editor, the grey boxes are showed, however, the question mark is in a different font, and is completely misaligned. I have tried reloading the page and deleting the tab several times, however that had no effect.

This also happens to me when I save a .png and rename it to .svg. It's very annoying, but I've never witnessed this.

At least 5 of my games got it. One costume on a project was just text but the text turned into a question mark in a grey box. Really weird! I heard it's about the space you have left, a .png file or a regular sprite costume. The font went out of the font box, was different, and I couldn't find it when you click on the little arrow next to it.

This is happening for me but only with emojis. When I put emojis it turns into a question mark

one of my sprites had a question mark issue with a watermelon from scratch 2.0,hope the scratch team fixes this pretty soon…..

Yeah, you can only do starts and hearts as scratch doesnt recognize any others

same, it also happened to me at the same time. I'm thinking that scratch crashed and now they can't restore my sprites. Does anybody have a solution?

I also have the same problem! Some of my sprite's costumes changed into a grey box with the question mark and one of my sprites was glitching! I don't know what's happening so if you know what's happening please tell me why
