Automatically close forum threads

To stop so-called “necro-posting”, maybe there could be some way that if any forum thread hasn't had a reply for a certain interval (7 days?) the thread could be automatically closed?

Maybe the thread starter could have an option to re-open if required at a later date. Or not.

I like this idea a little. I mean, if you actually contribute to the discussion, and don't just spam it, that doesn't really count as a necro (half necro, maybe). Seems to be a good start. but probably needs more work.
