I come across a bunch of people who use “c2a”(credit to all) instead of “credit to ‘SCRATCHER NAME HERE’”,and It kinda bothers me if someone remixes one of my projects and just slaps “c2a” in the notes and credits instead of actually giving credit to me(This doesn't just happen to me but a bunch of other Scratchers have this problem too)

Does “c2a” count as actual credit or not really?

“Credit to all” is really, really vague. It could be anything. You should definitely give credit to a specific thing / person.

I agree with this.

“c2a”, aside from not being immediately obvious on what it means, is very vague and doesn't actually give credit to any specific users. You can't just use someone's scripts and say “some guy made these.” You have to give credit to a specific user if you know who made the scripts.

Maybe a Scratch Team member could weigh in on this.

While technically you are giving credit, you are not giving exact credit. Like the example above, User1 may have found the music on the Internet, but where did they find it? Who made this music? What is the song? I would say that you have to give credit to exactly where you got something from.

So if I use music from someone else's project, I wouldn't be giving credit to the user if I just said

While yes, I found it in a Scratch project, it is really vague and doesn't give credit to the person.

C2A doesn't actually give credit to anybody, so it doesn't count as giving credit. If someone doesn't give you credit when they should, you can report the project.
