New batch of updates!

Hi again!

We wanted to give you an update on some of the things we’ve been working on since our last post. We are still working on many features and some remaining bugs, but here are some notes about the progress we have made!

Features

  • New extension: Vernier Force & Acceleration Sensor. You can find it in the extension library under “Go Direct Force & Acceleration”
  • Uploading a project from your computer now replaces the contents of the current project (rather than creating a new project). You can find more information about that here
  • Added support for Hindi to the Translate and Text-to-Speech extensions
  • Lots and LOTS of performance improvements ^.^

Bug fixes

  • Adding items to your project from the backpack can no longer result in issues with the project loading on the project page
  • Fixed issues where certain types of variable and list names could cause blocks to not appear when loading a project in the editor
  • Various fixes to the “touching color” blocks to better match performance and behavior from Scratch 2.0
  • Various fixes to the Micro:bit and LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 extensions that prevent issues when attempting to send lots of commands (e.g. set LED matrix or turn motor) at the same time
  • Lots and LOTS of smaller bug fixes ^.^

As always, if you find a bug or are still having problems with something above that we say is fixed, please let us know in the Bugs & Glitches forum: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/3/

If you would like to share your ideas or suggestions for future iterations of Scratch, please share them with us in the Suggestions forum: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/1/

magnificent but how 'bout not making all instances of a variable delete when deleting a variable? i really need it for my game since there needs to be two of a sprite that have the same variables but are local, and i set some to global while making the game for some reason

I NEED YOUR ATTENTION!! THIS IS URGENT!! Sorry for making such an eye-catching statement, but we need help raising attention to the unfair treatment of kumquats! Kumquats are always seen as fruits that eat signatures– this is wrong! I know, because I am a kumquat myself! Put a message relating to kumquat equality in your signature! Kumquats are being treated very unfairly! Because not all kumquats eat signatures; some are just plain inanimate! Below is a link to my studio supporting this equality movement.

Kumquats ate this signature, and thought it was DELICIOUS! Thank you, FriezKing, for dinner!

Cool, but can you fix the bug that When i broadcast,i put when broadcasted it shows a certian backdrop. But when i broadcast it,it show for 0.1 seconds and hides.

Hello! I'm a scratcher that joined over a year ago! I am the pizza god of scratch and the yeeting god. (lol) I have 660+ followers, won 2/3 of follower races. xD Top loved once. 2 featured studios. As we know so far, I hold the record of the most time on scratch: About 16 hours. (Estimated)

It took me to make 20 detailed studios to be featured, but only 2 got featured. Nice, I did not think any of my studios would have been featured.
I want to know what is the record of person with most featured studios? Starting in 2021, I will make a forum to see who gets the most featured studios in a full year. How to get noticed by me? Well, I always look at my followers' profiles, but you can also give feedback on my profile! “yeet pizza into thy mouth” ~ A weird nonsense quote made by me.

And, at the very least, I would discourage others from telling people that they have “blockspammed” in the forums. If it really is spam, just use the Report button and move on.To any forum helper / mini-mod who reads this, when you come across a necropost, I'd suggest doing nothing and instead maybe reporting the topic. If there doesn't appear to be a need for the topic to remain open, ask for it to be closed within the report.I suggest that, instead of trying to respond to these users asking them not to necropost, that you just use the Report button and ask us to take it down due to spam.
