Renaming a list doesn't change the heading of the list in the Stage.
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 73.0.3683.103, No Flash version detected
If I right-click a list that I have created and change its name, the list shown in the Stage doesn't change the name seen in the heading.
Reproduction steps
click on the Variables category
click Make a list
name it “test phrase a”
right-click the list block named “test phrase a”
click rename
name it “test phrase b”
you will notice that the list as it appears in the Blocks Pallete is now called “test phrase b”
but, at the top of the list, as it appears in the stage, it still says “test phrase a”

That happens to me too. Maybe report it to the website?
Also refreshing the page may fix the problem

Happens to me too. It was quite annoying because I renamed CLevel to Levels and Curr to CLevel.

This happened to me too. Restarting, or even waiting for a week, didn't solve the problem.

The list thing also happens to me.
Another annoying thing is that when you rename a list, the original name can't be used anymore. So if my first list was named ‘A’, and I rename it to ‘B’, I can't use the name ‘A’ for any future lists in that project.
Can somebody tell the Scratch Team to fix this?

In my project,
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/264969176/editor/
When I change the list's name, then click the checkbox to show the list, the list' name will still like to stick to the old list name, even after I reloaded the site, it still gave me the same problem. Even in another project, https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/226132164/editor ,which is not shown, I did the smae thing but the problem still appeared.
Please help me solve it.
Thank you!

Yeah, I think the only solution is to recreate the list.
I've heard many users talk about this glitch.

Actually, there is another workaround: you can edit the project.json file. Download the project to your computer, rename it so that the file extension is “.zip” (see this project for instructons on how to enable file extensions). Then extract it and open the file “project.json” with a text editor such as Notepad. It contains information about your project. In that file find something like this:
"params":{"LIST":"old name"}- Talhoid

I accidentally found a solution
I found it a few minutes ago
1. find a block that uses the list you renamed
2. click on the drop down menu
3. click on delete list
4. on your keyboard press Ctrl+Z or for macs ⌘+Z
5. show your list and it should be renamed
i hope this works
and if it does then reply

when green flag clicked
set [AnswerFound?] to [1]
if <(AnswerFound?) = [1]> then
forever
say [YAY!!]
end
end

Well done Talhoid!
I can confirm that deleting the list then undoing the deletion does work. It just took 9 1/2 months.

It's still a bug that needs fixing…
…but at least there's an easy enough work-around.
